The Kia Sonet has been spied yet again in India and this time for BS6 emission testing in India. The Sonet's front and rear can be seen in the spy pictures, from the images we can see that the front is undisguised except for the covered bonnet.
The front of the Sonet gets the signature Tiger Nose grille, muscular front bumpers with a scuff plate. The Sonet in the picture gets only single tone alloy wheels and misses out on the sunroof which suggests that this is a mid variant of the car. The rear features sporty bumpers, LED tail lights with LED stop light strip on the tailgate.
The Kia Sonet will be powered by a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine with dual-clutch automatic transmission. This engine option will also get the iMT transmission, which was recently launched with the Venue. Sonet will also get a 1.2 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine making 82 hp power and 115 Nm torque. Diesel engine option will include a 1.5-liter engine offering 99 hp power and 240 Nm torque. These two engines will get mated to a 5-speed manual and 6-speed manual respectively.
The Kia Sonet will be the third model for India and will be making its world premiere on August 7 digitally in India.(Image: ZigWheels)
